Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew growing up in Mexico with a family that was devoted to music. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to classical music, old boleros, and the traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana is a lover of Tangos, opera, and every form of dramatic performances. Ana began learning to sing and play music from an early age, along with her mother. She received more formal vocal training when she was 16 years old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. Her musical education continued in the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. In Guadalajara along with Mexico City, she was part of a variety of chamber and opera choirs. After moving in the United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002 she relocated to southern California. She is a frequent soloist at private parties and events and performs classical Latin American Music. The passion and love she has for art, music, and performing keep her engaged with a variety of local initiatives as a teacher and performer. Ana was also a part of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is now a teacher in The Performance Loft. Ana is privileged to be able be able to share her love for the traditional Latin American music. She hopes to encourage younger generations to keep the tradition alive.
