Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The global recognition of his music has helped him enter mainstream Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu, his hit from 2016, was awarded the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for the Best Song. The year 2017 saw the release of ADN The First Long-Player with La Industria Inc. in Medellin. It peaked at 8 in the Top Latin Albums charts. Following that year, he collaborated with Ozuna in their Top Five smash Vaina Loca. In the year 2020, he teamed up with Noriel on Mala Influencia and released the album Dopamina the next year. He appeared later in 2021 as a duo with TINI on her streaming smash track Maldita Foto. in 2023 the single the smash hit La Bachata was released. Turizo's brother and mother were musicians when he was born. According to Turizo, music was a mandatory element of his existence. He was taught how to play the saxophone and guitar as well as the keyboard and the ukulele when he was the age of a small child. Though his original goal was becoming a veterinarian his brother Julian encouraged him to take singing lessons with an instructor in Cuban.
